Horizon Mode

< 1 min read

Horizon Mode is an FPV drone flight mode that blends the stability of Angle (self-leveling) mode with the agility of Acro (manual) mode. In Horizon Mode, the drone will automatically self-level whenever the control sticks are released, making it easy to maintain level flight and recover from disorientation—ideal for beginner and intermediate pilots. However, unlike Angle Mode, Horizon Mode allows the pilot to perform flips, rolls, and other acrobatic maneuvers when the control sticks are pushed to their extremes. This means you get the safety and ease of self-leveling for regular flight, but with the ability to execute advanced tricks as your skills progress. Horizon Mode is a popular choice for pilots transitioning from basic to more advanced flying, as it provides both confidence and freedom to experiment with aerobatics while retaining a safety net of automatic leveling when the sticks are centered.
